Such a shame that trees have to be taken down for any reason. Remember the row of Birch trees that lined Strathburn park? I don't know what happened to them but even if it was due to disease, it's still a shame that they're gone!

Conkers again? 🙂 Yes, who indeed doesn't love the sight of a freshly hatched shiny conker? I always resist the temptation of picking up even the freshest ones. I'm afraid that it may kick-starts my youthful addiction of collecting them again! 😅

Aww, I think I know the trees you mean.😪. I know that sometimes it is because of disease or to better serve the native ecosystem; however, those that are felled for apparent human progress. . . That’s another story. 😡
